Fitness Assessment

Our Fitness Assessment is a valuable tool to help you, and your trainer should you decide to work with one, to determine your current fitness level and to set some short and long-term fitness and performance goals.

As with any fitness endeavor, we urge you to obtain a medical examination prior to embarking on your quest to become healthier and fit with this important first step.

Assessment Steps

PART I
HEALTH SCREENING QUESTIONNAIRE
Takes approximately 40 minutes. The components of our assessment are completely confidential.

FOUR TESTS – FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREEN

  • Deep Squat Test // Assesses bilateral, symmetrical, and functional mobility of the hips, knees, and ankles. The dowel held overhead assesses bilateral, symmetrical mobility of the shoulders and the thoracic spine.
  • Trunk Stability Push-Up Test // Assesses the strength of the trunk stabilizers, including transversus abdominis, multifidus, and quadratus lumborum.
  •  Active Straight-Leg Raise Test // Assesses functional hamstring flexibility and passive hip mobility.
  • Stair Climbing Test // Assesses your anaerobic and aerobic power.
