Step One: Health Screening Questionnaire

To get started, we’ll chat with you about your current fitness levels and future goals. The questionnaire takes approximately 40 minutes and the components of our assessment are always kept completely confidential.

Step Two:  Height & Weight Measurements

We’ll take your measurements to create a baseline before you begin your personal training or other fitness program. If weight loss is your primary goal, this will help determine the best course of action for your training.

Step Three:  Functional Movement Screen

The third step of our assessment will take you through four Functional Movement tests:

Deep Squat Test: Assesses bilateral, symmetrical, and functional mobility of the hips, knees, and ankles. The dowel held overhead assesses bilateral, symmetrical mobility of the shoulders and the thoracic spine.

Trunk Stability Push-Up Test: Assesses the strength of the trunk stabilizers, including transversus abdominis, multifidus, and quadratus lumborum.

Active Straight-Leg Raise Test: Assesses functional hamstring flexibility and passive hip mobility.
Stair Climbing Test: Assesses your anaerobic and aerobic power.
